PACIFIC NORTHWEST NATIONAL LABORATORY [Richland, WA]
Technical Intern III, Summer 2008
- Developed calibration software for beta gamma coincidence detectors
which used a combination of automated analysis and human input
- Implemented curve fitting routines to fit gamma and beta histogramsin
order to find an energy to channel conversion and determine detector
efficiency and resolution at each channel
- Organized data in order to optimize resolution with respect to high
voltage
Technical Intern II, Summer 2007
- Worked with a software development team to create a viewer programmed
in Java to be used in Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty monitoring stations
- Created the user interface for the viewer, connected to and queried
database
